The Misa For Love Foundation is wholly dedicated to making an impact on the development of some of Chicago’s most challenged youth through the use of artistic expression
Through the Misa For Love partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago, the foundation was able to implement a series of art therapy programs that helped to create a safe place for children to express themselves, create without judgment, self-reflect, and thus grow from the experience of collective art making. These life-altering collaborations allow participants to engage in activities that use the body, as well as art tools, to produce individual artistic creations with the goal of improving communication skills, while building self-confidence.
Upon completion of this year’s program, Misa, a Chicago-based multimedia artist, used the art created by each participant to craft a cohesive piece entitled ‘LOVE Untitled.’ The piece is available for auction HERE with proceeds funding future art therapy programs designed to facilitate positive growth and development among Boys & Girls Club youth.
Even a small gift can make a difference in the life of a youth Boys & Girls Club community. A gift of $25 will provide art supplies for one child for the duration of a Misa for Love program. To make a donation of any size, visit: www.potentialaccess.com/donate.
